For sellers in Malaysia who take orders ahead

Orders that reach your WhatsApp already complete.

Your customer picks the items, the pickup day and the time. You get one WhatsApp message with all of it, and the total. No long back-and-forth to work out the details.

The problem

Taking orders days ahead is messy

If you take orders days ahead, you know how they really come in.

💬

Orders in many chats

One order here, another in a different chat, a third in a comment. You scroll to find them.

📅

Missing date or quantity

"Can I get one for Sunday?" Which Sunday? How many? Then you ask again.

🧮

Retyping totals

You add up the items by hand and type the total back to every customer.

❓

The same questions

What do you sell? How much? Which days? You answer the same things again and again.

How it works

You send the menu. We build the page.

No app for you or your customers to install.

1

Send us your menu and prices

A photo or a message on WhatsApp is fine. Tell us which days you take orders.

2

We build your order page

Your items and prices, quantities, a pickup day (up to 2 weeks ahead) and time, name and notes.

3

You share the link

The page has its own link. Put it in your WhatsApp profile, Instagram bio or Google Maps listing.

Be clear

What it does, and what it doesn't

We would rather you know before you ask.

What it does

  • Shows your items and prices on one page.
  • Lets the customer pick quantities, a pickup day (up to 2 weeks ahead) and a time.
  • Takes their name and any notes.
  • Works out the total.
  • Opens WhatsApp on their phone with the whole order typed, addressed to your number.

What it doesn't do

  • No online payment. You sort that out with the customer.
  • It does not reply to customers for you.
  • The customer still has to press send in WhatsApp.
  • You confirm each order in WhatsApp yourself.
  • The sample is for pickup orders.

Questions

Common questions

Do I need a new number or a new app?

No. The order page sends the order to your existing WhatsApp number. There is no app to install, for you or for your customers. They just open your link.

Who is this for?

Sellers in Malaysia who take orders days ahead with a date: home bakers, cake shops, kuih sellers, festive cookie sellers (Raya, CNY, Deepavali), caterers, tingkat and meal-prep sellers, florists and frozen food sellers. It is not built for walk-in shops.

Do my chats stay mine?

Yes. Your WhatsApp chats and contacts stay on your phone, as they are now. The order arrives as a normal message from the customer.

Do you send messages to my customers?

No. We do not use bots or bulk messaging. The customer sends their own order from their own phone.

What if the order page does not work for me?

If the order page does not send orders to your WhatsApp correctly, we fix it free.

Who is behind Balas Kilat?

Jason, based in Penang. You deal with the person who builds it.

Want one for your shop?

Send us your menu on WhatsApp and we will tell you what the page would look like and what it would cost.
